Our Dance Programs
City Dance Corps teaches the highest quality dance classes and technical standards. We do not participate in dance competitions but do have programs available for both recreational dancers and dancers who seek more of a challenge through examinations and/or performance opportunities. Explore our studio and share in our love for dance!
ANNUAL PROGRAM
Our annual dance program runs from September to June and is open to dancers from ages 1 - 17. In addition to learning strong skills, our talented staff aims to nurture young dancers in developing their technique in a creative and non-judgemental environment. Classes are offered in acro, ballet, contemporary, hip hop, street styles, jazz, tap and musical theatre.

Beginner classes are open to dancers with little or no experience in the dance form. Intermediate and advanced classes are offered for dancers who have more experience in the dance form and are looking to challenge their technique. Term 1 culminates with an in-studio performance in December and Term 3 ends with a recital in a professional theatre in June for family and friends.
PERFORMANCE COMPANY
Since 2010, City Dance Corps has been offering a Pre-Professional Training Program in form of a performance company called The Youth Performance Company.
The dance company is for dancers ages 12 - 16 expressing an interest in a career in dance and a passion for performance. Many of the dancers who have trained with our program have moved on to become professional performers, choreographers, and instructors.
RAD EXAMINATIONS
The Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) is an international ballet syllabus. Founded in 1920, it continues to be one of the world’s most influential dance educational organizations.

The structure of the curriculum allows dancers to develop their technique over time, by working through the grade levels and completing exams based on each level. The exams set standards in classical ballet and the instructors have the highest level of accreditations in order to prepare dancers for exams. In order to build the necessary strength, alignment, coordination and technique, students interested in examinations are required to take a second ballet class each week, called the RAD Exam Prep class
Established in 2002.
