Join us at City Dance Corps for an awesome evening of rhythm and movement at our Hip Hop Break and Beats Night! This one-night event is perfect for kids aged 6 to 17 and their families who are ready to groove and get down to some funky beats.
The evening kicks off with a one-hour Breakdance lesson designed specifically for kids, where they'll learn foundational moves and techniques from our experienced instructor. Following the Breakdance session, both kids and parents can jump on the turntables for a 30-minute DJ lesson, where they'll get hands-on experience mixing and scratching beats like a pro from a professional DJ.
But the fun doesn't stop there! The last half-hour of the event is dedicated to a groove session featuring the music from DJ Andre 905 and the sensational performance of The Groove Crew, our talented hip hop dance crew aged 6 to 12. Get ready to witness their high-energy moves and infectious enthusiasm as they light up the dance floor.

THE NIGHT
BREAKIN LESSON
6pm - 7pm
For kids only, ages 6 - 17.
This is a beginner Breakin lesson. Learn fundamentals of Breakin.
DJ LESSON
7pm - 7:30pm
For kids and families. All ages.
Dive into the world of music mixing and turntablism. In this hands-on session, participants will learn the fundamentals of DJing, including beatmatching, scratching, and mixing techniques.
GROOVE & SHOW
7:30pm - 8pm
For kids and families. All ages.
Groove to the music of DJ Andre 905 and wrap up the night with a performance from The Groove Crew.

THE DJ
DJ ANDRE 905 is the official DJ of the Raptors 905. He has a weekly Saturday radio show called the No Cap Mix Show on Vibe 105.5FM and has deejayed at concerts for artists such as Tyga, JuicyJ, OT Genesis and YG along with after parties featuring the likes of Drake, Usher, DJ Khaled, The Weeknd, Fat Joe, Florida, Jessie Reyez, The Toronto Raptors, Raekwon, Rêve, Preston Pablo, Banx & Ranx, Renée Neufville (Zhané ) and Kelvyn Boy, just to name a few.

THE CREW
The Groove Crew is an all-kids hip hop dance crew aged 6 to 12. Directed by Emma Rossborough, the crew proudly represents City Dance Corps' newest Hip Hop training program. With infectious energy and passion for dance, these young performers bring a fresh and vibrant flair to the stage. Get ready to groove with The Groove Crew as they light up the dance floor with their stellar performance!
