Annual Dance Program

Since 2002, City Dance Corps has been offering high-quality dance classes led by professional and accredited instructors. Our holistic and welcoming environment nurtures children's growth, focusing on both their development and performance skills. Join us to experience top-tier dance education in a supportive community dedicated to excellence in dance.  At this age, dancers are presented with the opportunity to join The Groove Crew, our Hip Hop dance crew.  See our full Senior class schedule below.

BALLET

Ballet is a classical dance form. This class focuses on proper technique for progression, starting with traditional barre exercises and incorporating port de bras and core strength. Center work includes adagio, pirouettes, petit allégro, and grand allégro. Emphasizing musicality, students are exposed to classical and contemporary composers. Ballet classes perform twice a year in the Winter Show n Glow and the Annual Recital.

Senior Ballet - Advanced

Saturdays 12pm - 1pm

Must be taking two weekly dance classes and have 3 years minimum experience to take an Advanced level class.

ROYAL ACADEMY OF DANCE BALLET CLASS

The Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) is an international leading syllabus of classical Ballet. Students work on ballet terminology, history and movement. Classes start at age 6 and dancers have the opportunity to move through graded levels. Examinations will offered to students who wish to progress through the RAD syllabus. HIP HOP & STREET DANCE STYLES

Hip Hop is a street dance that has evolved along with Hip Hop culture. Hip Hop class focuses on traditional Hip Hop moves, vocabulary and grooves. Street Dance Styles encompasses additional forms of street dance, like Breakin, Tutting, Locking and Popping.  This differentiation in classes sets us apart from other youth programs in the city as we strive to teach authentic Hip Hop dance forms.  These classes perform twice a year; our Winter Show n Glow and the Annual Recital.

JAZZ/CONTEMPORARY COMBO

Jazz/Contemporary Combo is a class that combines a variety of techniques influenced by Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical Jazz, Modern and Acro elements.   Combining these dance forms into one class will help build well-rounded dancers skilled at all styles while improving strength, flexibility and musicality. These classes perform twice a year; our Winter Show n Glow and the Annual Recital.

DANCE ATHLETICS

Dance Athletics class is the blend of dance conditioning, Acrobatic arts and various dance styles like Jazz and Lyrical dance.  The Acro component of the class teaches Handstands, bridges, cartwheels, and more advanced tricks as the students further their study. The dance conditioning component strengthens balance, flexibility, spins, jumps and more.  This is a great to take if you want to improve your child's technique, stamina and overall dance abilities. These classes perform twice a year; our Winter Show n Glow and the Annual Recital.

Senior Dance Athletics - Standard

Tuesdays 6pm - 7pm

TAP

Tap dance is a rhythmic style of dance combined with Jazz technique. The tap shoes are used as percussive instruments to create sounds while hitting the floor. The class emphasis is on musicality, rhythm, coordination, style and technique.  These classes perform twice a year; our Winter Show n Glow and the Annual Recital.

MUSICAL THEATRE - NEW!

This class combine's singing, dancing, and acting into a full body experience. It's designed to develop their creativity, confidence, and teamwork skills while having lots of fun. This class includes physical and vocal warm ups, theatre games, singing, dancing, acting, improv and performance skills. These classes perform three times a year; our Winter Show n Glow and the Annual Recital and their own Musical Theatre showcase.

Tuition Fees

Annual Fee

The Annual Youth Program fee is $740+hst based on 37 weeks of classes per season. We have installment options available as well.

Registration Fee

A $30 one-time registration fee applies per student per season.

Costume Fee

Students performing in the annual recital will incur a costume fee of $100 -  $130 per dance, per dance season.
